Yaron Savoray is an Israeli investigative journalist working in conjunction with the Simon Wiesenthal Center. He infiltrated the Neo-Nazi terrorist movement Germany, Italy and South America. His infiltration of Germany's neo-Nazi groups is described in his book In Hitler's Shadow, whichbecame an international bestseller and was subsequently adapted into a movie The Infiltrator, starring Oliver Platt as Yaron Savoray .
His reputation as a committed and highly successful investigator was solidified when he recovered 40 uncut diamonds that were stolen by the Nazis from the Jews during WWII. His search for and recovery of the diamonds was documented in the History Channel’s critically acclaimed Blood from a Stone.
Savoray has recently uncovered a dumping ground for the destroyed remains of Jewish property plundered during Kristallnacht (which took place on the 9th of November 1938 all across Germany). The site contains an extensive range of personal and ceremonial items, although only a small number of items have been dug up so far.
Yaron Savoray is now working on the creation of an ongoing dig as well as research in this historical area .
