As one of Israel´s most respected and senior radio broadcast journalists and talk show hosts, Elihue Ben-Onn has covered wars, elections, and many facets of the Arab-Israel conflict and the peace process. He is a retired Brigadier General and former Israel National Police spokesman.
Mr. Ben-Onn served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as assistant to the Commander of the Armored Corps and fought during the Yom Kippur War. As a journalist, Mr. Ben-Onn served for 11 years as editor-in-chief of Israel Radio´s ‘Yoman Haboker,’ the country´s highest rated news program. Currently he hosts ‘Ma´Azinim L´Maazinim,’ a bi-weekly news-based call-in program on the Voice of Israel Radio´s First Network.
In the year 2000, Mr. Ben-Onn´s weekly international call-in program ‘The Israel Connection’,, geared toward Israelis and others abroad, earned an Honorable Mention award given by the American Joint Jewish Distribution Committee (JDC).
