Over 35 years of experience in lecturing and consulting in Israel, USA. and Europe, by integrating future studies and methodologies for innovative technologies.
After completing his PhD at Tel Aviv University in 1986, Dr. Idan lectured on the Future of Education at Tel Aviv University and at The Open University of Israel. From 1993-1996 he worked as an advisor to the Minister of Education on the project Tomorrow 1998. At that time he also served as a member of the Board of the Israeli Authority for Small and Medium Business.
In 1996, he began lecturing at Bar Ilan University on the future of management and on the future of the Internet. Since 1999 Dr. Idan has worked as a consultant and lecturer to top Israeli organizations such as Israeli Defence Force, I.D.B., Bank Leumi, Bezeq, ClickSoftware, MagicSoftware.
The future of Judaism in the Internet Age, and in the Globalization of the Flat World. Two different new and important trends of the 21st. century are in fact two sides of the same coin, the postmodern age: Friedman’s Flat World (FW), and Anderson’s Long Tail (LT) Society. While FW is a macro political-economic analysis of globalization, LT is a micro technological-economic-organizational analysis of a firm or an industry. The second generation of the Web (Web 2.0) and the Long Tail, has huge potential for understanding the future of the Jews in the 21st. Century.
